        2. We also discussed the bags of donated yarn housed at Marsha’s house and the yarn for the Christ Child Society that Betty donated and has at her house. This yarn will be brought to the Saturday knit days(see Philanthropy below) coming up for participants to take whatever they want.  Anyone wanting yarn before that should contact Marsha, at 818-249-4892, or Betty, at 818-247-9521.

Thanks to Jerri for all her creativity and hard work!July 11, 2006. There is a $2.00 entry fee. There are 2 main categories: Amateur and Professional. For more details, contact Janice Ogata or Evelyn or check the Fair website http://www.fairplex.com/2006.
        3. Evelyn asked for a volunteer to organize a JCK field trip to go to the Fair in September to see all the entries. She thought that perhaps opening day is free admission.

        1. Judy announced that she has reserved the Citibank Community Room for 2 Saturdays for JCK charity knitting and fellowship days. Dates and times are: Saturday, July 15 & August 19 from 10am-4pm. Yarn will be provided, or participants can bring their own projects to work on.  Bring your ideas and patterns to share. This is a casual, fun day. We will talk then about getting some lunch locally. Come and stay for part or all of the time.
        2. Children in Common (CIC) has a new goal for the next 2 months. They hope to collect 300 pairs of socks before July 31. The size should be around 4.5” – 6” in foot length, although whatever you make will fit some needy child. They request that the yarn used be 50-75% wool.
