Minutes:
    7:10 pm: Meeting Called to Order   Evelyn Van Orden, President    15 members and 2 new members were present.
    A. Approval of Minutes    Marsha Stoddard, Secretary
        1. Minutes of the May 4 General Meeting were posted on the website and a hardcopy provided at the meeting. They were approved. Marsha asked if anyone would be willing to take notes for her at the July meeting.
    B. Thanks for Treats    Cathy Wacker, Hospitality
        1. Evelyn thanked Diane for bringing the cake and Jerri Thomson for the homemade baby cookies and iced tea.
    C. Treasurer's Report    Evelyn Van Orden for Cindy Vogel, Treasurer
        1. Evelyn reported that the balance in our treasury is still $914.24 (plus interest).
    D. Philanthropy Report    Judy Gregory, VP Philanthropy
        1. Judy reported that was there was no new activity.
    E. Announcements    Members
          1. Judy introduced her 12-year-old daughter Ruth who came to visit and help with the baby shower.
        2. Marsha sent an email inquiring as to the purpose of the Tom Hamilton Scholarship Fund. Members voted last month to donate $100 to that group in memory of our friend Lynne Emery. There has been no response, so Marsha will write again.
    F. Kimberly Smith Baby Shower
        1. Judy directed us in playing 3 games, complete with prizes. Thanks, Judy, for all your work.
        2. Kim brought two very large frames of pictures of Jack and Lucy. Cathy Wacker brought decorations, Mary Kaye brought tablecloths and more decorations. Diane Larsen brought a delicious and festive cake, and Jerri Thomson made cookies in baby shapes. Deborah Kac brought plates/cups, utensils/etc. Sandra Canfield brought bottles of water, and Jerri Thomson brought iced tea. Evelyn and Cathy came early to set up.
        3. Diane Larsen fashioned a charming and huge bonnet out of the bows and ribbons from all the wonderful gifts, and Kim modeled it for pictures. It was a fun and entertaining party. Congratulations again to Kimberly and her husband, and to Grandma Mary Kaye.
        4. Thanks to all who contributed and made it happen!
