2. Judy Gregory received an email from former member Barbara Bell, who now lives in Arcadia. She has had some health problems recently but might be able to come back and visit a meeting during the summer.
        3. Evelyn announced that Judy was officially listed as Master Knitter Level 3 in the latest issue of Cast On magazine, the official publication of TKGA. Congratulations, Judy! What an amazing achievement!
        4. Judy talked about an article that she read in Cast On in which the author discussed home dying her yarn in her kitchen. Judy, who regularly dyes yarn for her business, said that dye and other chemicals should not be done in a kitchen, using kitchen utensils. Anyone using dye should use dedicated equipment and wear a mask.
        5. Anyone interested in entering items in the knit/crochet showcase at the L.A. County Fair can look at the website, which contains entry, admission, and parking fees, class information, entry forms, and lots more information: http://www.lacountyfair.com/2009. 
    D. Philanthropy    Judy Gregory, VP Philanthropy 
        1. Judy informed us that Afghans for Afghanistan are continuing to request blankets and socks for ongoing shipments to hospitals. These items need to be made of at least 75% wool.
        2. Cathy Wacker takes some of her beautiful blankets to Olive View Medical Center in Sylmar.
        3. Betty Molinaro and Jerri Nicol took a number of items to Christ Child Society. There were 4 bears, 9 blankets, 8 booties, 8 hats, and 1 sweater. Thanks to all who contributed the baby things!
