JCK’s Mission is Education and Philanthropy

JCK knits and crochets items for preemies, babies, children, adults, and
seniors and donates them to various local, national, and international organizations.
JCK also offers knit, crochet, and craft workshops to people of all ages in the local area.

JCK Supports These Organizations and Events

Knit for the Cure  Sponsored by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, this annual event is held in February at Race for the Cure at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. JCK donates and sells handmade items with proceeds benefitting breast cancer treatment.

Knit in the City  An annual community knit-out and crochet event in October in Pasadena. JCK helps organize the event and sells handmade items with proceeds benefitting charity.

Stitches from the Heart  JCK donates handmade hats, booties, blankets, and sweaters that Stitches from the Heart delivers to to premature babies in hospitals nationwide.

Children in Common  JCK donates handknit wool socks, clothing, and toys to CIC whose associates deliver them to orphaned children in Russia and the Ukraine.

Afghans for Afghans  JCK donates hand-knit and crochet blankets and garments to this humanitarian and educational people-to-people project that serves the beleaguered people of Afghanistan.

Disney VoluntEARS  JCK is participating in Disney Studios' Compassion Caps for Kids with Cancer campaign by making hats and teaching knitting and crochet to Disney employees.

Glendale Youth Alliance, Inc.  JCK supports GYA's youth employment programs & events.

New Horizons Family Center   JCK donates toys and handmade garments and offers Kids Craft Club workshops.
